    • In the foster family, he also experienced physical altercations, including with his stepbrother and foster father. ScottGalan was often unfairly punished, blackmailed, and emotionally pressured – for example, with phrases like "Hurry up or there’s no dinner." His coming out as gay was met with verbal abuse from his foster father.
